Our Story

Founded in 2015 Johnny & the Yes Men is a Detroit based Pop | Rock band writing, recording and producing original music.

 

Growing up in the Detroit area we were all influenced by the music we grew up with. Rock, Pop, R&B, Funk and the sweet sounds of Motown. One thing's for sure, we are all passionate about music.

 

Performing for many years playing cover tunes in bars and clubs from Mackinaw Island to Detroit, we decided the time had come to start writing and producing our own original material.

We have all been playing music for years and love writing music. One of us will have a melody rolling around in their head or some chords to work off of, or we just jam and something good comes out of it. Over time we have developed a catalog of original songs. Friends stop by, hear what we're working on and encourage us to release it for others to enjoy.
